Death From Below
May 07, 2008 “Death From Below” in CU Auditorium from 7:00PM to 9:00PM.
Dan Sully & Tim Stafford met at Columbia College while studying poetry. Not only did they realize their mutual passion for words but their shared love for center ring lion taming. Sully, at the time, was working for Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Baley Circus while Tim was on board over at Cirque du Soleil. They combined their power of words and their knack for bringing lions to their knees and formed the greatest powerhouse duo ever to grace the planet. Tim Stafford & Dan Sully are known for 2 things: breaking hearts and punching throats.

Siddharth Arora
India
Computer Engineering Technology
& Software Engineering Technology
Class of 2009.

Sidd is one of our many proud international students at OIT. A native of Vadodara, India, he landed in
Klamath Falls in September 04 to pursue a Dual degree in Computer Engineering Technology and
Software Engineering Technology. As he nears his graduation at the end of this term, we wanted to
know about his wonderful experiences in Klamath Falls and what advice he would give to the current
or prospective students.
What made you decide to attend OIT?
I began my search in November 2003 starting with over 100 colleges with the options of dual majors
like Computer Science and Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering and Software
Engineering. After much research, I decided to go with OIT because of the program, small class-size,
scholarships that I received and its standing in the job market.
If someone were to ask you about OIT, what would you say?
OIT follows a strict policy of hands-on practice i.e. a good chunk of your time would be spent in labs
understanding the practical knowledge of the theory learned in a classroom. OIT believes that most of
the learning takes outside of classroom and I firmly accept that.
What are your plans after graduation?
Well, after putting so much effort in my dual degree program, it would be nice to have a job and start
making some decent money.
What advice would you give to new students?
Yes, college is hard work but it also a place where you will meet some of the greatest people you will
ever know. It a great place to build a network. Enjoying college life is the key to success.
As you end your college career, what are some of the reflections that you would like to look
back upon?
Since I came to OIT, I have seen myself growing up a lot (with a lot more to go, obviously). My
experiences at OIT and in this country have matured me to face the real world. Some things that I will
miss when I leave is being able to hang out with my friends, going to Denny's at 3:00 in the morning
for a milk-shake, $3.50 movies, being a member of the International Club, the people that have
helped me achieve this big milestone in my life, and many more. But, I will definitely not miss the snow,
since it snows way too much in this town.
